The International Building Code, 2024 Edition, as amended and set forth in the California Building <br />Code, Title 24, Part 2 of the California Code of Regulations, published by the International Code <br />Council is hereby adopted, together with Appendices C, G, J, and N except as set forth in this <br />chapter. <br /> <br />B. The International Building Code (IBC) adopted in this chapter by reference is amended by the <br />following additions, deletions and amendments thereto as set forth in this chapter. Reference <br />numbers herein are taken from the 2025 California Building Code (CBC). <br /> <br />C. These regulations shall be known as the Pleasanton Building Code, hereinafter referred to as “this <br />code.” <br /> <br />D. Where there is a reference in the code to the "Building Official" or “Authority Having Jurisdiction” <br />it shall mean the "Building and Safety Official" or in the absence of the Building and Safety <br />Official, the interim, temporary or acting Building and Safety Official. <br /> <br />20.08.020 CBC Chapter 1 Division I amended. <br /> <br />Chapter 1 Division I Sections 1.8.4, 1.8.5, 1.8.7 and 1.8.8 are deleted. <br /> <br />20.08.030 CBC Chapter 1 Division II deleted. <br /> <br />Chapter 1 Division II is deleted and replaced by Chapter 20.04, the Pleasanton Building Administrative <br />Code. <br /> <br />20.08.040 CBC Section 903 amended – Automatic Sprinkler Systems. <br /> <br />Section 903 of the California Building Code 2025 Edition, (T24 C.C.R. Part 2), and including by reference <br />the International Building Code, 2024 Edition is amended to read as shown in section 903 of the Pleasanton <br />Fire Code (PMC Chapter 20.24). <br /> <br />20.08.050 CBC Section 904 amended – Alternative Automatic Fire-Extinguishing Systems. <br /> <br />Page 25 of 376
