Ponderosa Homes. <br />Description of Trees <br />HortScience I Bartlett Consulting <br />Page 2 <br />Two hundred and eight (208) trees were evaluated, representing 23 species (Table 1). <br />Trees fell into one of two general categories: <br />1. Oak woodland. Most trees were associated with the existing oak woodland. <br />Species encountered included coast live oak, Calif. bay, bigleaf maple, valley oak <br />and elderberry. Trees were found as individuals, in small groups and as the <br />edge of more extensive woodland. Also present was tree of heaven, a non- <br />native, invasive species. <br />2. Ornamental. The residences were located near Dublin Canyon Blvd. Trees in <br />this area were a mix of common ornamental species (e.g. silk tree) and fruit trees <br />(apple, apricot, fig). <br />Table 1.
