Within 10 days following the date of a decision of the planning commission on a variance <br />application, the secretary shall transmit written notice to the city council and the applicant. A <br />variance shall become effective 15 days following the date on which the variance was granted or <br />on the date following the next meeting of the council, whichever is later, unless an action of the <br />planning commission has been appealed to the city council, or the council elects to review the <br />decision of the planning commission. A variance shall become effective immediately after it is <br />granted by the council. <br />§ 18.132.130 Review or aAppeal. <br />A. The planning commission may elect to review a decision of the zoning administrator as <br />prescribed by this section, or a decision of the zoning administrator may be appealed to the <br />planning commission by the applicant or by any other person as prescribed in Section <br />18.144.020. <br />B. The city council may elect to review a decision of the zoning administrator or the planning <br />commission as prescribed in Section 18.144.010 of this title, or a decision of the planning <br />commission may be appealed to the city council by the applicant or by any other person as <br />prescribed in Section 18.144.020. <br />C.An appeal shall be heard and acted upon as prescribed in Sections 18.144.030 and <br />18.144.040. <br />October 22, 2025 Page 21 Planning Commission <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 41391B8A-D45A-4EA6-984D-8FD466A2D754
