The collection system discharges to the Dublin San Ramon Services District Wastewater
Treatment Plant (DSRSD WWTP). Figure 1-2 below displays the location of the 11 wastewater lift stations
in relation to the DSRSD WWTF.
While the oldest station was installed in 1968, the stations were primarily constructed in the 1980s and early
2000s, and several stations have also been more recently upgraded. The lift stations have two general
configurations: three (3) are dry-pit stations and the remaining eight (8) are wet pit stations with submersible
pumps. The sizes of the pumps varies from 2 to 60 horsepower (HP) and total station capacity ranges
between 0.4 MGD and 7.6 MGD. A summary of lift station installation dates, size, firm capacity, and standby
generator size is included in Table 1-5. Table 1-6 includes information on the force mains to which each
lift station discharges.
In addition to the City’s lift stations, the East Amador Lift Station (EALS), which is owned and operated by
DSRSD, conveys flow from the City of Pleasanton to the DSRSD WWTF. Although DSRSD is responsible for
the condition assessment and implementation of improvements needed to this lift station, the City is
responsible for funding these improvements. An allocation for those costs has been included in the long -
term CIP. EALS is not listed in Tables 5 and 6 since it is not owned by the City of Pleasanton.
