I want to clearly express my support for their tennis court and lighting
installation, which has no negative impact on nearby residents.
The lighting plan was properly reviewed and approved by the City after meeting all code and
design requirements. Despite this, the immediate neighbor continues to file repeated appeals
without any legitimate grounds. These actions appear to exploit the city’s lenient appeal
process and unnecessarily consume staff and commission time.
Pleasanton already has numerous private and community tennis courts—many with lighting—
that coexist harmoniously within residential neighborhoods. The ongoing opposition in this
case seems rooted in personal disagreement rather than any real inconvenience.
I urge the City to uphold the Planning Commission’s prior approvals and bring an end to these
repetitive, unfounded appeals.
Thanks
Satish Surapaneni
