Pleasanton BART
Existing Physical Site Conditions Opportunities and Constraints Evaluation Oct 16, 2025

4
b. Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station

The Dublin/Pleasanton BART station is located immediately north of the project site, on the
border of Dublin and Pleasanton. It is the eastern terminus of the Blue Line and a major bus
terminal served by six providers. The station itself is in the form of an island platform located in
the center median of the elevated Interstate 580. The fare lobby is located under the platform
and access to the station itself is via the underpass under I-580.

With a typical weekday ridership of ~3,000 in 2024, this station has experienced a 61% decline
in ridership from 2019 to 2024.

c. Project Area Context

The project site is adjacent to the Chabot Canal to the west and the Hewlett Canal to the north.
Most of the surrounding development is zoned PUD-Industrial/Commercial-Offices and as such,
consists of two- to five-story office buildings with large parking structures and surface parking
lots, such as the five-story Oracle campus east of the site and the Kaiser offices to the
southeast. A notable exception is the Galloway Apartments (zoned PUD-Mixed Use, same as
the project site), a multifamily residential project directly to the south, across Owens Dr.

In addition to BART facilities and rider parking, the Dublin side of the BART station (further north
of the project site) has seen a spur of transit-oriented development over the past few years.
Most of this development has been multifamily or mixed-use residential from three to seven
stories.

Figure 1-2: Context map showing zoning
DRA
F
T
