Attachment 4
BART Concept Plan – Site Re-use Options
Public Comments

Provided to Planning Commission for the October 22, 2025, meeting
Provided to City Council for the November 18, 2025, meeting Page 5

From: Rachna Jain
Sent: Wednesday, October 8, 2025 10:32 AM
To: Shweta Bonn
Subject: Sincere Request

Hello,

I am a resident of Pleasanton and a regular BART commuter to my workplace. Recently, I’ve noticed that
a significant portion of the parking lot is already filling up during weekday mornings. With more
companies now requiring employees to return to the office four to five days a week, the demand for
parking has clearly increased.

Historically, before the COVID-19 pandemic, all parking lots at the Pleasanton BART station would reach
full capacity early in the day. Many commuters, including myself, often had to park far away and walk a
considerable distance to the station—an inconvenient and unpleasant experience.

Given this growing demand, I strongly oppose any reduction in parking spaces at the Pleasanton BART
station. I kindly request that the City reconsider any plans to reduce parking capacity and instead
explore ways to maintain or even expand available parking to support the needs of daily commuters.

Thank you for your attention and understanding.

Warm regards,
