From:CHRISTINE BOURG
To:Pleasanton City Clerk
Cc:Christine Bourg
Subject:Gulf gas station signage
Date:Tuesday, November 18, 2025 11:18:46 AM
I am writing regarding the signage and design of the Gulf gas station on the corner of First St.
and Vineyard Ave.
This project wasn’t approved by our City Council. As a past member of the General Plan
Steering Committee, I
know that the City Council has the authority and responsibility to adopt and amend regulations
to establish and modify zoning and signage regulations to align with the city’s aesthetic goals.
Signage should not significantly
impact the community’s visual character and complies with established standards to maintain
the city’s aesthetic
integrity.
The Gulf sign is out of compliance with our General plan. It doesn’t fit in our historic
Downtown. Please require
a project that fits Pleasanton, not a look that is inappropriate for our city.
Christine Bourg
Pleasanton
