RESOLUTION NO. 2026-005 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />APPROVING A SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO FY 2025/26 ANNUAL ACTION <br />PLAN FOR THE USE OF FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />CDBG) FUNDS AND APPROVING RELATED BUDGET AMENDMENTS IN THE <br />CDBG FUND (FUND 123) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton as an entitlement community receives Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding on an annual basis from the U.S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As part of the requirements to receive this funding, <br />the City must prepare and submit an Annual Action Plan (Action Plan) to HUD; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 15, 2025, the City Council by Resolution No. 2025-038 approved <br />the City's proposed FY 2025/26 Annual Action Plan, which lists the projects and activities to be <br />funded with CDBG funds in FY 2025/26 covering July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, to be <br />submitted to HUD, and on November 21, 2025, HUD approved the City's FY 2025/26 Annual <br />Action Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City must amend its FY 2025/26 Annual Action Plan in order to allocate <br />an additional $224,630 in federal CDBG funds to the Tri-Valley Shiloh Rebuilding project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council approves the Substantial Amendment to the FY 2025/26 <br />Annual Action Plan as shown in the attached Exhibit A and directs its submittal by staff to HUD <br />for review and approval. <br />SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />SECTION 3.
