Zone 7 Water Agency – Hansen Park Test Well Summary
and Production Well Design Recommendations
7 Zone 7 Water Agency
December 2025
Table 8 summarizes the flow contribution for each screen section in the well. The dynamic spinner survey
log is included in Appendix A.
Table 8. Zonal Flow Contribution Pumping Conditions
Screen Interval (feet bgs) Production (gpm) % of Flow
298-318 92 15.4
458-518 293 49.0
518-578 121 20.2
608-628 25 4.2
656-676 31 5.2
736-756 36 6.0
The results of the spinner survey show that 85% of the total well yield is derived from screened intervals
above 578 feet bgs. The low contribution from the lower three screen sections is not surprising,
considering the thickness and the resistivity response on the geophysical log of those zones.
A spinner survey was also conducted in the well to measure flow under non-pumping (static) conditions
(Appendix A). The results of the static spinner survey show that water flows within the well from the
upper screened interval into the lower three screened intervals under non-pumping conditions. Table 9
summarizes the flow contribution for each screen section in the well under static conditions. Positive
values for production and % of flow indicate water is moving into the well structure through screen
sections, negative values indicate where water is moving out of the well structure those screened sections.
Table 9. Well Yield Estimation
LSCE used the data derived from the constant rate pumping test, combined with data regarding the range
of expected regional groundwater levels, to develop well pumping capacity estimates for the wells
constructed at Hansen Park, Del Prado Park, and Tennis Park. The methodology, data, and analysis used
to develop pumping capacities for the three sites are detailed in Appendix C. Table 10 summarizes the
estimated pumping capacity of a well constructed per the design recommendation presented in Section
3 at Hansen Park.
