This would be a length of approximately 50 <br />feet of road to place the Delineator Posts in the middle of the double yellow line that separates traffic in <br />both directions. <br />The rational behind this is that during school drop off at 8 AM and 9 AM, cars between the school exit and <br />entrance on SRFR will cross the double yellow line (passing up stopped cars in front of them at the stop <br />sign) to turn left into the school entrance. This happens frequently as cars in front of the stop sign are also <br />stopped waiting for the green light on Black Ave/Santa Rita Rd. This is a safety issue as students are <br />entering in the crosswalk coming from Santa Rita Road, and the passing cars have a blind spot to the <br />students entering the crosswalk. <br />If the City approves this request, the installation timeframe may be best in late July 2026 prior to the start <br />of the new school year on August 13th. <br />I have uploaded a screenshot of the area and an orange highlight on the proposed section to install the <br />delineators.
