<br />The acquisiƟon or construcƟon of any community center, municipal auditorium or
<br />hall, or similar public facility for the indoor presentaƟon of performances, shows,
<br />stage producƟons, fairs, convenƟons, exhibiƟons, pageants, meeƟngs, parƟes, or
<br />other group events, acƟviƟes, or funcƟons, whether those events, acƟviƟes, or
<br />funcƟons are public or private.
<br />
<br />“Maintain” or “maintenance” means the furnishing of services and materials for the
<br />ordinary and usual maintenance, operaƟon, and servicing of any improvement,
<br />including:
<br />Repair, removal, or replacement of all or any part of any improvement.
<br />Providing for the life, growth, health, and beauty of landscaping, including
<br />culƟvaƟon, irrigaƟon, trimming, spraying, ferƟlizing, or treaƟng for disease or
<br />injury.
<br />The removal of trimmings, rubbish, debris, and other solid waste.
<br />The cleaning, sandblasƟng, and painƟng of walls and other improvements to
<br />remove or cover graffiƟ.
<br />
<br />“Service” or “servicing” means the furnishing of:
<br />Electric current or energy, gas, or other illuminaƟng agent for any public lighƟng
<br />faciliƟes or for the lighƟng or operaƟon of any other improvements.
<br />Water for the irrigaƟon of any landscaping, the operaƟon of any fountains, or the
<br />maintenance of any other improvements.
<br />
<br />“Incidental expenses” include all of the following:
<br />The costs of preparaƟon of the report, including plans, specificaƟons, esƟmates,
<br />diagram, and assessment.
<br />The costs of prinƟng, adverƟsing, and the giving of published, posted, and mailed
<br />noƟces.
<br />CompensaƟon payable to the county for collecƟon of assessments.
<br />CompensaƟon of any engineer or aƩorney employed to render services in
<br />proceedings pursuant to this part.
<br />Any other expenses incidental to the construcƟon, installaƟon, or maintenance
<br />and servicing of the improvements.
<br />Any expenses incidental to the issuance of bonds or notes pursuant to SecƟon
<br />22662.5.
<br />Costs associated with any elecƟons held for the approval of a new or increased
<br />assessment.
