City of Pleasanton
LighƟng & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1994-1,
Oak Tree Farm
Engineer’s Report

Page 15

Recommended Capital Improvements
Some of the Improvements in the LighƟng and Landscape Maintenance District
No. 1994-1, Oak Tree Farm, are overdue for much needed upgrades and repairs.
However, the Maintenance District reserve fund balance is insufficient to do these
tasks. For example, the irrigaƟon system is broken and requires major and costly
repairs, so the irrigaƟon has been turned off, and the plants are not being watered
at present Ɵme.
The City has prioriƟzed the necessary repair projects with homeowners and has
implemented phase 1 of the improvements, which included tree pruning and
removal along Foothill Road, tree pruning around the street lights, and fence repair
and painƟng along Foothill and Oak Tree Farm Drive. The next phase of
improvements planned for this coming year includes converƟng the street and
entry lights to LED and priority pruning on some of the larger trees on Foothill Road
and Oak Tree Farm Drive.
The Maintenance District Reserve fund balance will be drawn down to
accommodate the improvements. No irrigaƟon improvements are planned or
expected at this Ɵme based on conversaƟons with the residents and assessments
will have to increase in order to complete other necessary renovaƟons and restore
the reserve.
