Current City Manager Gerry Beaudin is <br />resigning from his position as City Manager, effective Friday, June 5, 2026. The City <br />Council wishes to appoint Joseph Calabrigo to serve as Interim City Manager. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve employment contract for Interim City Manager with Joseph Calabrigo. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 2.08 creates the office of the City Manager and sets <br />forth related powers and duties. The City Council appoints the City Manager. <br /> <br />Current City Manager Gerry Beaudin is resigning from his position as City Manager, <br />effective Friday, June 5, 2026. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br />Mr. Calabrigo served as Town Manager for the Town of Danville from 1993 to 2025. <br />Before that time, he served as the Town’s Chief of Planning, Transportation Director, <br />Administrative Services Director, and Assistant Town Manager. <br /> <br />An Employment Contract for Interim City Manager is attached which provides for a <br />monthly salary of $25,000. Mr. Calabrigo will receive no employment benefits. <br /> <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />Not applicable, as this item is a routine matter of City business. <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No outreach was conducted, as this item is a routine matter of City business. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Not applicable, as this item is a routine matter of City business. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />This contract will be paid from available resources in the General Fund, in the City <br />Manager's Office budget. <br /> <br />Page 5 of 617
