Page 15
Recommended Capital Improvements
Some of the Improvements in the Lighting and Landscape Maintenance District
No. 1994-1, Oak Tree Farm, are overdue for much needed upgrades and repairs.
However, the Maintenance District reserve fund balance is insufficient to do these
tasks. For example, the irrigation system is broken and requires major and costly
repairs, so the irrigation has been turned off, and the plants are not being watered
at present time.
The City has prioritized the necessary repair projects with homeowners and has
implemented phase 1 of the improvements, which included tree pruning and
removal along Foothill Road, tree pruning around the street lights, and fence repair
and painting along Foothill and Oak Tree Farm Drive. The next phase of
improvements planned for this coming year includes converting the street and
entry lights to LED and priority pruning on some of the larger trees on Foothill Road
and Oak Tree Farm Drive.
The Maintenance District Reserve fund balance will be drawn down to
accommodate the improvements. No irrigation improvements are planned or
expected at this time based on conversations with the residents and assessments
will have to increase in order to complete other necessary renovations and restore
the reserve.
City of Pleasanton ...
Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1994-1, SCIConsultingGroup
Oak Tree Farm
Engineer's Report
