With over three decades of experience, HF&H has a proven track record of successfully assisting jurisdictions throughout California with solid waste consulting services since 1989. HF&H has also had the privilege of supporting the City on various projects in recent years. Most recently, we conducted a comprehensive solid waste procurement evaluation, which analyzed a range of contracting options as the City approaches the expiration of its current agreement with PGS. Based on the results of this study, the City Council approved staff’s recommendation to negotiate a three-year extension to the existing solid waste services agreement with PGS. This proposal outlines the scope of work we will undertake in response to the City’s request for professional negotiation and procurement services related to the extension of the current agreement with PGS. All negotiation activities will be conducted within a six-month period to align with the City’s timeline and ensure a timely and efficient process. We look forward to the opportunity to continue supporting the City in this important initiative. Scope of Services Task 1 – Project Initiation and Management HF&H will facilitate a two-hour meeting with City staff to initiate the project. This meeting will serve as a forum for reviewing the project approach, objectives, key milestones, and deadlines. While our prior discussions with City staff provided a foundational understanding of current programs, the kick-off meeting will offer a forum for the City to provide additional context surrounding its unique situation, which will help ensure the project deliverables are congruent with the City’s goals. This meeting will also be utilized to finalize a schedule and explore other City priorities that may interact with this process.
