The model used pre-pandemic existing
traffic volumes and future buildout volumes to simulate traffic conditions with the
traffic signal. The modeling showed that even with very generous timing provided
to Canyon Meadows (i.e., extended timing to allow turning movements from
Canyon Meadows on to Dublin Canyon Road), the traffic queue created by
vehicles stopped on Dublin Canyon Road would not create a condition that
impacts Canyon Creek. The screen capture from the model below shows an
approximately 10-vehicle queue during the busiest 5 minutes of the day,
representing approximately 250 feet of queue length. Canyon Creek Circle
intersection is just over 1,000 feet to the west of Canyon Meadows and will not
be impacted by queues created by the signal installation.
