Page 7 of 10 <br /> <br />Connection Fees <br />Connection fees are one-time capital fees assessed on new development in the City to recover <br />a proportional share of capital facility investments to be constructed, or previously constructed, <br />for the sewer system to accommodate new growth. Sewer connection fees are calculated for <br />each customer class by multiplying the connection fee per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU) by <br />the EDU ratio for that class. Staff recommends updating the apartment and mobile home EDU <br />ratio to match the condominium EDU ratio, consistent with the proposed sewer rate structure <br />changes.
