Arroyo Lago Residential Project
Addendum

FCS 5
Https://adecinnovations.sharepoint.com/sites/PublicationsSite/Shared Documents/Publications/Client (PN-JN)/2148/21480036/Addendum/21480036 Arroyo Lago Residential Project Addendum.docx
2 - PROJECT DESCRIPTION
2.1 - Location and Setting
2.1.1 - Location
Regional Location
The City of Pleasanton (City) is located in Alameda County (County) in the eastern San Francisco
Bay Area of California. The City is bordered to the north by the City of Dublin, to the east by
unincorporated Alameda County and the City of Livermore, to the south by Pleasanton Ridge
Regional Park and open space, and to the west by the Diablo Mountain Range (Exhibit 1). The City
covers approximately 24 square miles and has historically consisted of a suburban community with a
mix of residential neighborhoods and employment centers.
Local Setting
The project site consists of approximately 30 acres 3 and is located directly east of the city limits, just
north of Busch Road. Lake I of the Zone 7 Chain of Lakes is located to the north of the project site,
and Cope Lake is located to the east (Exhibit 2a). The project site does not currently have a street
address but can be accessed from Busch Road. While the project site is within unincorporated
Alameda County, it is also located within the City’s Sphere of Influence (SOI) and Urban Growth
Boundary (UGB). Presently, the project site is vacant and graded with no structures or existing
development. An informal access road (gravel/dirt) travels along the western boundary of the project
site.
The project site consists of two Assessor’s Parcel Numbers (APNs): APN 946-4634-1 (the subdivision
property itself) and an approximately 3.4-acre portion of APN 946-4634-2, which would support Street
A. APN 946-4634-2 would also support proposed off-site utilities infrastructure, including a
bioretention area, discharge pump, and detention basin (Exhibit 2b). The project site is located within
the Livermore, California United States Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5-minute Topographic
Quadrangle Map (Latitude 37° 40' 38.28" North; Longitude 121° 51' 22.68" West).

3 This Addendum does not evaluate an expansion of the proposed project’s overall size; rather, it reclassifies the
construction of Street A along the project site’s eastern boundary as part of the project site, whereas it was previously
identified as an off-site improvement in the Prior FEIR.
