Claims Administration
ICS has conducted a thorough review of the Claims Administration criteria and is fully equipped
to continue delivering services that meet or exceed all established standards and expectations. A
more detailed description of the ICS Claims Administration policy and procedural manual can be
provided upon request but was omitted due to space restrictions. Please see Appendix 2 for
additional insight regarding our claims administration best practices.
B. Medicare Reporting Medicare Agent Services
ICS has conducted a thorough review of the criteria regarding Medicare Reporting Medicare
Agent Services and is fully equipped to continue delivering services that meet or exceed all
established standards and expectations.
According to CMS guidelines, we regularly submit a Query file containing all claims from 2010
to CMS on a quarterly basis. CMS then processes this file and returns it to ICS, identifying
Medicare recipients. This information is subsequently uploaded to our claims management
software. Additionally, we maintain a detailed log documenting each instance of claims reported
and the identification of Medicare recipients for thorough record-keeping.
Next, we access each newly identified Medicare recipient, inputting the required data to finalize
the claim report for CMS. Additionally, we conduct reviews of other claims to assess whether
any updates or changes, such as TPOC (Total Payment Obligation to Claimant) or legal
representation, need to be reported. Quarterly, we transmit both the new and updated claim files
containing all pertinent information to CMS.
Medicare Recipient claims are flagged in the claims management system so the examiners will
make sure their settlements incorporate the protection of Medicare’s interests.
C. Medical Management
ICS has conducted a thorough review of the Medical Management criteria and is fully equipped
to continue delivering services that meet or exceed all established standards and expectations.
Innovative Claim Solutions oversees a medical management program that encompasses Nurse
Triage, Bill Review, Utilization Review, PBM, MPN and Preferred Provider Organization
access, and other Ancillary Care Management services.
ICS examiners utilize Nurse Triage services to allow for immediate assessment of injuries as
soon as they occur. This early intervention ensures that appropriate medical care is promptly
initiated, potentially preventing minor injuries from escalating into more severe conditions and
causing a workers’ compensation claim. Nurses can efficiently triage injuries over the phone or
videoconference, determining the appropriate level of care needed for each case.
