ATTACHMENT 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AUTHORIZING THE LIVERMORE PLEASANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT TO JOIN BAY <br />CITIES JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, on November 13, 2024, the Board of Directors for the Livermore Pleasanton <br />Fire Department (LPFD) Joint Powers Authority met and recommended that LPFD issue a notice <br />of withdrawal from the California Joint Powers Risk Management Authority (CJPRMA) and <br />explore alternate coverage options for general liability, auto liability, and employment practices <br />liability; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 21, 2025, the Board of Directors for the Livermore Pleasanton Fire <br />Department’s Joint Powers Authority met, considered the various options for replacement <br />coverage for LPFD (including nine risk pools, commercial insurance, and self-insurance), and <br />recommended that LPFD join the Bay Cities Joint Powers Insurance Authority (BCJPIA). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1.
