Attachment 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO <br />APPROVE APPROVING A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT WITH BIGGS CARDOSA <br />ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE VALLEY AVENUE SOUNDWALL REPAIR PROJECT, <br />CIP 18437 IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,247 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to authorize the City Council to execute a one- <br />year contract for payment of eligible project-related services and continued support through <br />completion of the Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair project, CIP 18437; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc. has the necessary qualifications, experience, <br />and ability to provide continued support for the Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair project, CIP <br />18437; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a one-year contract with Biggs Cardosa Associates, <br />Inc. for continued support of the Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair project, CIP 18437; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the total compensation under the one-year contract shall not exceed <br />$15,247, unless otherwise authorized in accordance with City procedures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funding for the one-year contract is available in Fund 201, Miscellaneous CIP <br />– General Fund; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the staff report, the proposed one-year <br />contract, and all information presented at its regular meeting on September 15, 2026. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Council approves the one-year contract with Biggs Cardosa <br />Associates, Inc. for continued support of the Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair project, CIP 18437, <br />in an amount not to exceed $15,247. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the one-year contract, subject to <br />minor modifications approved by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to take all actions necessary <br />to implement the one-year contract, including execution of related documents, notices, <br />amendments, extensions, and administrative actions, provided such actions are consistent with <br />the approved budget and City policies. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br />a regular meeting held on September 15, 2026. <br /> <br />Page 111 of 318
