Attachment 3 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO <br />APPROVE APPROVING A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT WITH RUGGERI-JENSEN- <br />AZAR FOR THE SUNOL BOULEVARD SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, CIP <br />26295, IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,115 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to authorize the City Council to execute a one- <br />year contract for general civil engineering design services for the Sunol Boulevard Sewer <br />Improvements project, CIP 26295, not to exceed one year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ruggeri-Jensen-Azar has the necessary qualifications, experience, and <br />ability to provide general civil engineering design services for the Sunol Boulevard Sewer <br />Improvements project, CIP 26295; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a one-year contract with Ruggeri-Jensen-Azar for <br />general civil engineering design services for the Sunol Boulevard Sewer Improvements project, <br />CIP 26295; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the total compensation under the one-year contract shall not exceed <br />$39,115, unless otherwise authorized in accordance with City procedures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sufficient funding for the one-year contract is available in Fund 431, Sewer <br />Replacement CIP; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the staff report, the proposed one-year <br />contract, and all information presented at its regular meeting on September 15, 2026. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Council approves the one-year contract with Ruggeri-Jensen-Azar <br />for general civil engineering design services for the Sunol Boulevard Sewer Improvements <br />project, CIP 26295, in an amount not to exceed $39,115. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the one-year contract, subject to <br />minor modifications approved by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to take all actions necessary <br />to implement the one-year contract, including execution of related documents, notices, <br />amendments, extensions, and administrative actions, provided such actions are consistent with <br />the approved budget and City policies. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br />a regular meeting held on September 15, 2026. <br /> <br />Page 115 of 318
