City Council Minutes Page 1 of 5 August 11, 2026 <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />Tuesday, August 11, 2026 <br />6:00 PM <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Balch called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 6:00 <br />p.m. from the Council Chamber located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Councilmembers Eicher, Gaidos, Nibert, Testa*, Mayor Balch <br />Absent: None. <br />Councilmember Testa participated virtually for just cause and disclosed there were no <br />individuals 18 years of age or older at her location. <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />Mayor Balch stated that due to noticing, items 2 and 10 on the agenda will not be heard <br />until 7:00 p.m. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Mayor Balch opened public comment. The following individuals provided comment: Jan <br />Coleman-Knight. <br />Mayor Balch closed the public comment. <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Councilmembers Testa/Eicher to adopt the consent calendar as <br />recommended, except for item 2, which will be considered on or after 7:00 p.m. Motion <br />passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Eicher, Gaidos, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Balch <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />City Manager <br />1.Continued from June 16, 2026 - Introduce an ordinance updating the Pleasanton <br />Municipal Code Title 2 to modify the duties, frequency of meetings, and <br />maintenance of membership for the Civic Arts, Human Services, Library, and Parks <br />and Recreation Commissions, and modify the membership and meeting frequency <br />Item #2 <br />Page 9 of 318
