City of Pleasanton—Additional Housing Sites Rezonings Project
CEQA Guidelines Section 15164 Addendum Addendum

27
SECTION 4: ADDENDUM
The purpose of the checklist is to evaluate the proposed project in terms of
any changed condition (e.g., project changes, changed circumstances, or
new information of substantial importance) that may result in a changed
environmental result (e.g., a new significant impact or substantial increase in
the severity of a previously identified significant effect) (CEQA Guidelines §
15162).
Consistent with the City’s standard practice, this Addendum uses the
standard environmental checklist categories provided in Appendix G of the
CEQA Guidelines but provides summary columns for evaluation consistent
with the provisions of an addendum (CEQA Guidelines Sections 15162
through 15164).
A “no” answer does not necessarily mean that there are no potential
impacts relative to the environmental category, but that there is no change
in the condition or status of the impact since it was analyzed and addressed
with mitigation measures in the Prior FEIR. These environmental categories
might be answered with a “no” in the checklist, where the proposed project
does not introduce changes compared to the approved project that would
result in a modification to the findings of the Prior FEIR.
