City of Pleasanton—Additional Housing Sites Rezonings Project
CEQA Guidelines Section 15164 Addendum Addendum

37
Summary of Prior FEIR
Important Farmland, Williamson Act Contracts, and Other Changes
The Prior FEIR found that the City contained approximately 175.14 acres of
Prime Farmland, 46.70 acres of Farmland of Statewide Importance, and 126.6
acres of Unique Farmland at the time the Prior FEIR was drafted. The Prior FEIR
concluded that compliance with the applicable General Plan policies, as
well as the City’s Right to Farm Ordinance, would ensure that impacts related
to the conversion of farmland to nonagricultural uses would be less than
significant. Similarly, the Prior FEIR concluded that because the City limits do
not contain any lands subject to a Williamson Act contract, General Plan
buildout would not conflict with any such contracts, and a less than
significant impact would occur.
Forest Land
Although the Prior FEIR did not specifically address impacts related to the loss
of forest land or timberland, it is noted that the City does not contain a
zoning district for forest land or timberland.
Proposed Project Analysis and Conclusion
The proposed sites are in the same urban setting as those evaluated in the
Prior FEIR and are designated as PUD. None of the proposed sites include
Prime Farmland, Unique Farmland, or Farmland of Statewide Importance, are
zoned for agricultural use or hold an active contract under the Williamson
Act, or contain any forest land or timberland. Therefore, there would be no
impact, and the proposed project would not result in a new or more severe
adverse impact that was not previously identified and disclosed in the Prior
FEIR. No further analysis is required.
Conclusion
With regards to Agriculture and Forestry Resources, the Addendum
demonstrates that:
1. No new or more severe impacts related to the proposed project or its
site have been identified.
2. There are no new circumstances involving new or more severe impacts
which were not discussed by the Prior FEIR.
3. No new information requiring new analysis or verification has been
identified which results in an impact which is more severe than
anticipated by the Prior FEIR.
