City of Pleasanton—Additional Housing Sites Rezonings Project
CEQA Guidelines Section 15164 Addendum Addendum

119
would be available to accommodate current and future needs of the City.
Therefore, according to the Prior FEIR, buildout of the General Plan would
result in a less than significant impact related to fire and police protection
services.
The Prior FEIR concluded that with implementation of applicable General
Plan policies, implementation of the General Plan would result in a less than
significant impact to schools, parks, and recreation facilities, as well as other
public facilities such as libraries.
Proposed Project Analysis and Conclusion
As explained in Section 2, Project Description, maximum buildout of the
proposed sites is within the scope of and would result in fewer housing units
than what was analyzed in the certified Housing Element Update FEIR. As
such, the total maximum units proposed would not exceed what was already
analyzed in the Housing Element Update FEIR, and, therefore, increased
demand for public services has already been accounted for. Similar to
development contemplated in the Prior FEIR, future development on the
proposed sites would be required to abide by applicable regulations and
policies regarding the need for additional public services. Therefore, impacts
would be less than significant, and the proposed project would not result in a
new or more severe adverse impact that was not previously identified and
disclosed in the Prior FEIR. No further analysis is required.
Conclusion
With regards to Public Services, the Addendum demonstrates that:
1. No new or more severe impacts related to the proposed project or its
site have been identified.
2. There are no new circumstances involving new or more severe impacts
which were not discussed by the Prior FEIR.
3. No new information requiring new analysis or verification has been
identified which results in an impact which is more severe than
anticipated by the Prior FEIR.
4. No mitigation measures are necessary because the proposed project’s
specific impacts would be less than significant.

Mitigation Measures
None.
