RESOLUTION NO. 2026-081 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH GACHINA LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT FOR MISCELLANEOUS LANDSCAPE SERVICES AT VARIOUS CITY -OWNED LOCATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,848,051 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to authorize a three-year agreement with an option to extend the agreement for an additional two one-year terms with Gachina Landscape Management for miscellaneous landscape services at various City -owned locations; and WHEREAS, Gachina Landscape Management has the necessary qualifications, experience, and ability to provide miscellaneous landscape services at various City -owned locations; and WHEREAS, the City has negotiated an agreement with Gachina Landscape Management for miscellaneous landscape services at various City -owned locations; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the California Public Contract Code and the City's applicable bidding requirements for public works contracts, the City advertised the project for formal competitive bids, received and opened bids on August 19, 2026, and determined that Gachina Landscape Management was selected as the most qualified firm based on the proposal for RFP-PWD-26.301 Miscellaneous Landscape Services at Various City -Owned Locations; and WHEREAS, the total compensation under the agreement shall not exceed $1,848,051, unless otherwise authorized in accordance with City procedures; and WHEREAS, funding for the agreement is available in the Parks Division Operating Budget (00140400-430107 and 00140402-430107); and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the staff report and all information presented at its regular meeting on September 15, 2026. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. The City Council approves the agreement with Gachina Landscape Management for miscellaneous landscape services at various City -owned locations, in an amount not to exceed $1,848,051. SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the agreement, subject to minor modifications approved by the City Attorney. SECTION 3. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to take all actions necessary to implement the agreement, including execution of related documents, notices, amendments, extensions, and administrative actions, provided such actions are consistent with the approved budget and City policies.
