A combination of technical evaluation and community
input was used to rank individual bicycle and pedestrian
improvements and corridor level improvements. Based on
the corridor evaluation, corridors were categorized as Priority
Corridors, Major Capital Corridors, or Opportunity Corridors (See
Figure ES-5).
• Priority Corridors are the highest priorities for near-term
planning, funding, design, and construction.
• Major Capital Corridors are important citywide and
regional connections that require substantial investment
and should be advanced through phased planning, agency
coordination, and competitive funding opportunities.
• Opportunity Corridors can be improved through smaller-
scale projects, routine maintenance, development-related
improvements, or other funding opportunities, providing
additional safety and connectivity benefits as opportunities
arise.
