21

Crash Summary
To assess safety conditions on Focus Network corridors, the project team referenced the results of the Bike-Focused and Pedestrian-Focused
High Injury Networks (HIN) developed as part of the concurrent Pleasanton Transportation Safety Action Plan. These networks are informed by
2020-2024 crash data. The Bike-Focused HIN (blue) is shown overlaid on the Focus Network (orange) in Figure 9. The Pedestrian-Focused HIN
(blue) is shown overlaid on the Focus Network (orange) in Figure 10.
The Bike-Focused HIN overlaps with the Focus Network on segments of Foothill Rd, Santa Rita Rd, Valley Ave, Main St, and W Las Positas Ave.
The Pedestrian-Focused HIN overlaps with the Focus Network on segments of Foothill Rd (opposite segments from the Bike HIN), Santa Rita Rd,
Valley Ave, Main St, Bernal Ave, and Owens Dr. The Transportation Safety Action Plan will include recommendations with proven safety
countermeasures to reduce crashes, and the recommendations made in this Plan will complement those recommendations.
