2026 PLEASANTON BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN MASTER PLAN | 19
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Overview
This Plan was developed through comprehensive community engagement that included community meetings, pop-up events, walk
audits, presentations to the BPTC, online surveys, an interactive mapping tool, and a project website that provided regular updates
throughout the planning process. These engagement opportunities enabled participants to identify transportation challenges, com-
ment on draft recommendations, and help establish priorities for future investments.
More than 800 community members participated throughout the planning process. Their input helped identify key transportation
needs, validate the technical analysis, inform project prioritization, and shape the infrastructure, program, and policy recommenda-
tions presented in this Plan.
12
2 176
800+2,000+
184
TOTAL
COMMUNITY
EVENTS
COMMUNITY
SURVEYS
SURVEY
RESPONSES
COMMUNITY MEMBERS
ENGAGED
PROJECT WEBSITE
VISITS
INTERACTIVE MAP
PINS
OU
T
R
E
A
C
H

A
T

A

G
L
A
N
C
E
2
2
COMMUNITY MEETINGS
WALK AUDITS
4
4
POP-UP EVENTS
BPTC PRESENTATIONS
