The Plan is
updated periodically to reflect community needs, incorporate current best practices, and support
the City’s competitiveness for grant funding.

Staff began the current update in May 2025. A draft updated Master Plan has been prepared
and provided to the Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee (BPTC) for review. Staff and the
consultant will consider BPTC feedback before bringing the Master Plan to the City Council for
approval on November 17, 2026.

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan is attached to this report and is also available on the
City’s website at PleasantonBPMPReportDraft9-18-26.pdf

RECOMMENDATION
Receive the draft Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan update and provide input to staff.

Discussion at this meeting should focus on high-level policy direction, content clarification, and
issues warranting BPTC discussion.
