Medians, Fire Stations & Main Street Landscape Project No: PWD 26.301 SCOPE OF WORK Blowing of Main Street Sidewalk, Curbs, and Gutters (These Special Provisions are to be used in conjunction with the City Standard Specifications and Standard Details) SECTION 1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK, GENERAL The work to be performed consists of twice-weekly blowing of Main Street sidewalks, curbs, and gutters in areas specified in Attachment V. Additional blowing to be performed as requested for special Main Street events and will be billed as “additional services”. SECTION 2. CLEANING STANDARD The storefront-to-curb is blown out to the street, and the turn pockets are blown out so the street sweeper can collect debris. No debris is to be left on the sidewalk. One worker on each side of the street to perform the task. SECTION 3. SERVICE TIME Service is to begin at 157 Main Street and work toward the Pleasanton Hotel. Blowers must be run at the lowest speed within 100 feet of the Rose Hotel located at 807 Main Street. Service time will be from 6:00am – 6:45am and will be completed in coordination with the contact street sweeper. SECTION 4. EQUIPMENT Battery-powered blowers are to be utilized for this scope of work (and for the entire contract per the City’s gas-powered blower ban). This is to mitigate the noise and impact on the surrounding neighborhoods. Contractor is responsible for charging all batteries off-site at their maintenance facility.
