To: Rosalind Rondash Subject: PDUP-8 HI, This is about the notice that I received from your office pertaining to the case of operating large family day care application at 5276 Genovesio drive. I have deep concern about the traffic hazardous would cause due to the expansion of this day care home. Right now this house is day caring 4 to 6 children. Since the applicant's house is located at the sharp conjunction of another street. I saw many time the hazardous traffic situation when parents drop-off or pickup their kids during rush hours. This hazard not only could cause to caring child, but also to existing residences. Another concern is there is a swimming pool and play grounds in the community. the home owners are liable to any accidence happens to the day care center. With the size they want to expand, I do not think they can handle that. Another question is this notice were sent to residences within 300-foot radius of applicant site, but those home owners has liability to those child in day care and they are paying HOA fees to maintain public facilities. They should be notified about this application even if law is not required to do so. I require to have a hearing for neighbor to express their concerns. Thanks. It would cause very high congestion in the area, resulting in dangerous traffic -- this is a peaceful, family oriented community, and there are children in the streets most of the time. Their safety would become a major issue as well. 2. It would increase the noise level very substantially if there is a small school-sized day care being run right next to us. These homes are quite small, and allowing 14 children in them anyway seems umeal. I hope you can reject this application without further ado -- please let us know if you need further information.
