The goal of the modified program, in conjunction with the
revised GrowthManagement Program Ordinance, is to have actual
units built in any year not exceed that which is provided for
in the City's General 'Plan (currently 650 units or 750 units
if 100 or more units are in "lower-incomes projects).
However, due to the number of units already approved, Council
recognizes that it may allow more units than the General Plan
maximum until the backlog is reduced if infrastructure is
available for this level of development in the short-term.
