Resolution No. 96-132 <br />Page Four <br /> <br />Section 4: Section 2.04.015 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is mended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 2.04.015 Terms of Office <br /> <br /> (Subsections A and B, no change.) <br /> <br /> C. A Councilmember (other than Mayor) shall serve no more than two <br /> consecutive terms and a person who has been appointed or elected to <br /> council for more than two years shall serve no more than one <br /> additional term. * <br /> <br /> D. A Mayor shall serve no more than four consecutive terms and a <br /> person who has been appointed or elected to Mayor for more than <br /> one year shall serve no more than three additional terms. *" <br /> <br /> Section 5: The following text is added to the Land Use Element of the City of <br /> Pleasanton General Plan adopted August 6, 1996 immediately following <br /> Program 11.4: <br /> <br /> "Program 11.5: The foregoing Policy 11 and Programs 11.1 through 11.4, <br /> this Program 11.5, and the Urban Growth Boundary designated on the Land <br /> Use Designations Map of the City of Pleasanton General Plan adopted <br /> August 6, 1996 and as readopted by the Pleasanton Urban Growth <br /> Boundary Initiative, shall be amended only by a vote of the people." <br /> <br /> Section 6: The following text is added to the Land Use Element of the City of <br /> Pleasanton General Plan adopted August 6, 1996 immediately following <br /> Goal 1, Policy 15, Program 15.1: <br /> <br /> "Program 15.2: The foregoing Policy 15 and Program 15.1, and this <br /> Program 15.2, shall be amended only by a vote of the people." <br /> <br /> <br />
