The four Alameda County agencies will direct their
20% funds to other projects. During the first 5 years of the TVTDF program, the total
estimated 20% funding for the Alameda County jurisdictions is as follows:
· Pleasanton: $1.9 million
· Livermore: $2.1 million
· Dublin: $2.6 million
· Alameda County $0.1 million

Other potential funding sources for the TVTC projects are described below.

A. New Measure B - The Alameda County Transportation Authority (ACTA) is
planning to bring a New Measure B program back to the voters in 2000. Several TVTC
projects were proposed to receive funding on the June 1998 ballot measure that was
rejected by the voters. The new ballot measure should include major funding for TVTC
projects in Alameda County.

B. Regional Gas Tax - Legislation was approved that permits the Metropolitan
Transportation Commission (MTC) to bring to the voters a list of projects proposed to be
funded by a regional gas tax. The types of projects eligible for this funding include
transit, street rehabilitation, rail extensions, safety projects, interchange reconfigurations,
ADA projects, seismic retrofitting, and alternatives to single occupancy automobile
travel. Some of the TVTC projects would be eligible for this potential funding.

F I
