<br />, , <br /> <br />Page I of I <br /> <br />Leslie Mendez <br /> <br />From: <br />Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2005 8:33 AM <br /> <br />To: Leslie Mendez <br /> <br />Subject: Second St Addition. <br /> <br />Dear Leslie, <br />Thank you for meeting with us the other day regarding the proposed addition at 4546 Second St My wife, <br />Christine, and I have concerns about the work that is being proposed. <br /> <br />First, I am concerned that he is attempting to claim for his driveway part of my neighbor, Grace's, property, I <br />believe this is a dangerous precedent <br /> <br />Second, I think the scope of the proposed addition is too much house ( and living space) on too little lot space, <br />I am concerned that this may become more widespread in our downtown area, ruining the character of our <br />older neighborhoods, Owners may just try to maximize square footage, thereby inflating the price of their <br />homes, without thinking about neighborhood character. <br /> <br />Third, I think the second story addition of the main house, as proposed, is too high for the lot size, and therefore <br />out of character with the rest of the homes there, It will also disturb the visual field from the neighboring homes. <br /> <br />I would appreciate it if you could place this letter expressing our concerns in the file regarding this project so it <br />can be part of the record, <br /> <br />Sincerely, Brian and Christine Bourg <br />4512 Second St <br /> <br />9/13/2005 <br />
