Page I of2

lo

Natalie Amos

From:

Sent:
To:
Cc:
Subject: RE: Knights/779 Mirador Court

Friday, June 30, 2006 7:37 PM
Natalie Amos;

Please note how disappointed we are in this decision. It seems patently unfair to deny a family the right to extend
their home for what appear to be petty and personal reasons. We are long term residents of Pleasanton and
have always thought the town was fair minded and would not be the type of town to respond to the loudest
voice. Stacy and Stan Knight have gone out of their way to be up front and accommodating to the neighbors and
neighborhood.

I would hope the commission would reconsider if a new proposal is put forth. It would be a shame to lose them as
neighbors although I would not blame them if they chose to leave.

Sincerely,

Barry and Robin DeMartini

-----Original Message-----
From: Natalie Amos [mailto:namos@ci.pleasanton.ca.us]
Sent: Friday, June 30, 20062:15 PM

~~~- -- -
Subject: Knights/7~dor Court
rr---.
On Wednesday, June 28, the Planning Commission upheld the appeal PAP-93 in favor of the Georgatos
(Appellant) thereby denying the design review approval by the Zoning Administrator for PADR-1472
(Knights). This action denies the project. If the project is not appealed by the Knights or a third party, there
would be no mediation and the project expires. A new application would need to be submitted if they
[Knights] wanted something different.
If the project is appealed then the mediation process would begin coordination. The Planning Commission
recommended parameters for that process and further recommended that a previous Planning
Commissioner be used to facilitate this process, unpaid. Staff is currently contacting members to determine
if there is an interest in pursuing this activity.
The City sends out a letter to the Appellant and Applicant stating the results of the Planning Commission
hearing.
Thank you for participating in the Planning Process.
Sincerely,
Nalalie E.
