Page I of I

Natalie Amos

From: Martha Wens
Sent: Tuesday, August 08, 2006 3: 11 PM
To: Natalie Amos
Subject: Remodel question

Natalie.
Hope your summer is going well. I wanted to ask you a question as a result of information I learned from a
friend's controversy with a two story remodel. In her nearby neighborhood, there must be a 20 foot separation
between the second stories of two story homes on adjacent properties. Does this same condition exist in our
neighborhood? If it does, then would the Knight's proposed two story addition along our fence line reduce our
ability to add a second story to our home in the future? I ask because our houses our only five feet from the
property line between us at their closest point. It would thus appear that their proposed addition would be
approximately five feet from the property line and force any future addition on our property to be fifteen feet from
that property line greatly reducing our ability to expand in the future if desired. I look forward to your reply.
For your information, I will be out of state Aug 11 - 20 and my husband will be out of the country Aug 28 - Sep
15. I know you are going to try to coordinate mediation proceedings in regards to the Knight's proposed addition,
so I thought you want to know our schedules.
Thank you,
Martha Wensel
787 Mirador Court
Pleasanton

10/3/2006
