A key
component of the character of our community is the opportunity for our youth to be involved in team sports. Youth
sports programs teach our kids many valuable life skills and promote a healthy lifestyle.

The activity center will provide a quality, state of the art venue for CYO basketball, which is open to ALL Pleasanton
youth. As basketball continues to grow in popularity, this activity center will undoubtedly provide necessary relief to
our already overcrowded gyms in the city.

The support for this project extends far beyond the members ofCCOP. My next door neighbor, Kevin D'Or in not
Catholic and has been extensively involved with the CYO program for many years. In fact, he attended the last
planning commission meeting to show his support of the activity center.

As a family that uses the St. Elizabeth Seton parking every week, I can tell you first hand, that I have never found it
necessary to park outside the confines of our parking lot. I am certain that we can continue to be respectful of our
neighbors in the adjacent area.

Thank you for sharing my thoughts with the Planning Commission.

<;incerely,

Paul Unpingco
5135 Northway Road
Pleasanton, CA 94566

11/8/2006
