Page I of I

Steve Otto

From:

f ! "
-
Tuesday, November 07, 2006 2:44 PM
Steve Otto

Sent:
To:
Cc:
Subject: Comments on public hearing for John Miller church

Dear city planner,
This is regarding new expansion of John Miller Church on Stoneridge Dr. I am home owner on Bowen Street and got informed on
the hearing.

I understand there is member increasing in this church and the need to expand their facility. Since I can not make the time to
come to the public hearing, here are my comments:

1. More Traffic. There will be more traffic once this new gym type of building opened. Reehm and Bowen streets are really short
streets and there is no clear separate line on the road. This will be potential risk to our neighbors.

2. Noise. Once this new facility opened, there will produce more noise affecting us. I hope there should be open time limit, ideally
only open for working hour - 8 am to 6 pm, to minimize this impact.

3. Parking. Bowen Street is a very short street with 7 houses. Some of them only have one car garage. So, I hope we can have
rule setup not to allow church facility member to park on Bowen Street, otherwise we have no space for our visitors to park.

4. Street is not wide enough. I almost hit one walker in one weekend night when the street was out. That was totally dark, road
has no light refection lines and road side was full of cars going to Church. I was driving slow already. So, I really hope the church
can build more inside parking lots instead of using street side. This will be safe for everybody.

Above are all I can think of for now. Thanks for reading them and keep city Pleasanton a pleasant place to live!

Sheng Liu

btw, please feel free to contact me if there is any question. Thanks again.

Try the next generation of search with Windows LiveT Search today! Try it!

12/21/2006
