City taxes are collected at the same time and on the same tax rolls as are
County, school district, and special district taxes.

Taxes on the secured roll are payable in two installments on November 1 and February
1 of each fiscal year and become delinquent after December 10 and April 10, respectively.
Taxes on unsecured property are assessed and payable March 1 and become delinquent the
following August 31 in the next fiscal year.

A 10% penalty is added to delinquent taxes which have been levied on property on the
secured roll. In addition, property with delinquent taxes is sold to the State on or about June
30 of the fiscal year. Such property may thereafter be redeemed b payment of the delinquent
taxes and the delinquency penalty, plus a redemption penalty o~y 1-1/2% per month to the
time of redemption. If taxes are unpaid for a period of five years or more the property is
deeded to the State and is subject to sale by the County Tax Collector.
