Jenny Soo
From: trinl@aol.com
Sent: Tuesday, October 31, 2006 4:11 PM
To: Jenny Soo
Subject: Re: PCUP-155/PDR-513, Trinity Lutheran Churc
Thanks Jenny...Here is a response.
Thank you for sharing your comments. Let me provide a response for you.
Golden Road is already too heavy with traffic -the road was never intended to be athrough-passage road. I
believe the same is true for adjacent roads like Harvest and Greenwood Ou~roject_will not effect nor
chan~the current use of Golden~Greenwood or. Harvest road~as the~roject is a zero growth project. We
are replacin ogur temporary buildin¢ with a.Rermanent struchire
. The church is proposing to expand the parking off of Golden Road, which will increase traffic even more.
_Yes_we are proposing to_espand the~arking_Off of Golden Road in order to remove as many parked cars
associated _w_ith the ministry. By removing the cars from the street we will make Golden Road safer for all.
The majority of the people who use the Golden_parking lot do not travel through t_he Pleasanton Valli
community. Thy, enter from_H_op~rd to Golden and exit Golden to Ho ard,
At the same time, there are over 30 minor children on the affected stretch on Golden Road alone - a narrow
road with poor visibility and children on both sides of the street. The safety of our children MUST be the
#1 priority. We agree._The~roposal will not effect_those children as ou~r~ct is a zero Growth Rroject._
We are replacin~ur temporary buildi~with a Rennanent structureWith the addition of more parking
sRaces_we will_ be able to remove cars from the street thereb~nakin~ _the road. safer for all,
. Moreover, there are inexpensive alternatives -like entry and exit onto Hopyard or Del Valle. These roads
were built as through-passage roads. There is no exit/entrance available from the church property
connected to_ Hopyard. The_Del Valle exit_is a r~ht hgn only, situation and cannot be expanded because_of
it's location to Hopkard.
Finally, the church has proclaimed that they have no growth plans in terms of church members. Does the
council believe that, really? This information is incorrect._ It is alwaXs our desire to welcome more and
more_people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is correct that we are not expandin-0 the size of our
Preschool for which the new buildiq~s bedbuilt. Yes, the Council is in full support of this~roposed
plan.
-----Original Message-----
From: JSoo@ci.pleasanton.ca.us
To: trinl@aol,com
Sent: Mon, 30 Oct 2006 2:59 PM
Subject: FW: PCUP-155/PDR-513, Trinity Lutheran Churc
Pastor Dave,
FYI.
Jenny
11 /3/2006
