I trust that it is all in order. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to be
in touch with our architect, Mr. Tim Mattheis or myself.
We ar_e making arrangement for a follow up meeting with our most immediate neighbors on Golden
Road. You might recall that we arranged for a neighborhood meeting in November 2005 reaching out to
the surrounding community using the Planning Departments model. We did not have a lot of people
respond to that meeting, a view phone inquires. We did go directly to a majority of our Golden Road
neighbors in Nov/Dec and seek their thoughts on the placement of parking lot exits/entrances,
landscaping desires, and general project sharing.
In our November meeting we were greatly encouraged, in discovering that no major concerns were
raised. We did clarify with one of our neighbors, Mr. Fred Martin the placement of the new parking lot
entrance. He had some helpful suggestions as to it's placement so that it would not interfere with his
driveway. We were able to move the entrance/exit in our drawings and confirm with the Fire
Department their needs and expectations for movement in the parking lot with their Fire trucks. We also
had a good conversation on the placement of the runoff swell for the parking lot. Fred and his neighbor
were pleased that we had sought his input. I have had a subsequent conversation with Fred a week ago,
just as we were making our submittal to the city. He would like to revisit his initial thoughts around the
entrance/exit driveway. I believe that he has done a little thinking on the new entrance/exit and would
like to see if there are other alternatives. I told Fred that this was good timing in that we have just made
our submittal to the city based on our previous conversations, and that we would very much like to sit
down and talk over other ideas with him. We will be making those arrangements with Fred and the
other Golden Rd. neighbors in the coming couple of weeks
In addition we talked about landscaping, and to our delight our neighbors were very complimentary over
the care that we have given to the property over the years, they are looking forward to the removal of
our modular units as they previously enjoyed the large vista that looked southwest into our parking
area. They are looking forward to the view of the new church and they were very upfront that they did
3/2/2006
