Thank you.
These meeting comments and my later newspaper PS was sent to council members earlier.
To All Council Members and Nelson Fialho,
Pleasanton's lack of adequate streets, which would provide traffic circulation and suitable
vehiclur movement, prevents anything the size and scope of a Home Depot. It is truly sad
this city is not adequately prepared to go forward with such tax opportunities.
Sadly, Pleasanton went forward with the magnificent Hacienda Business Park on the
basis of promises and 'talk'. We now live with the injustices of paper planning.
In the future, properly planned streets (excuse the pun) must be "in concrete" before we can
discuss future tax opportunities. No more promises.
Adding on more branches to one path, doesn't constitute a traffic'circulation plan'.
Thank you,
Judy Symcox
PS: Regarding today's Times article, Don't treat us like fools !You tell us HD would "pay for
improvements".Please !!
They might pay for "CHANGES" but they are NOT "improvements". We need the radar speed sign
now. You can tax
an improvement district for those AT the intersection, but DON"T EVER think for a split second about
putting
Valley Ave homeowners in ANY SPECIAL DISTRICT.....you would have us pay for our own torture !!
It is painfully obvious that this is all tiny pacifying rhetoric. The fact that YOU have ADDED a second
Busch to Valley
right turn lane to the new GP, FULLY DEMONSTRATES YOUR TOTAL DISREGARD FOR VALLEY
AVE
HOMEOWNERS !!! After such disregard, what could possible follow.
Valley homeowner's have been violated and are THE ones that truly have a case. At the time of
purchase, 20 years
ago, we ALL knew Stoneridge would be the cross-town street.....neverfor amoment was Valley
planned for
the single road. The city has broken any trust with Valley homeowners. All of this cruet patchwork,
that you dare
to call improvements, will never make a silk purse out of a sow's ear ! Please stop insulting us with
band-aids.
Judy symcox
~/ 10/2007
