Especially with that new big water park going in
on Stanley. That area is already so congested and, of course, it backs up into our neighborhood via First St.!
Furthermore, we already have Home Depot, Lowes, Orchard Supply Hardware, Ace Hardware (on Santa Rita),
and Richert. Plenty of hardware stores within easy driving distance. We see no real need for another Home Depot
offering more of the exact same stuff and turning our community even more into an supersized cookie cutter
suburb. (especially when, in my opinion, the service at the existing store is so horrible).
Finally, I am concerned about what another large store will do to the last existing small hardware stores around
here. They will always get my business over the large stores, but I wonder if yet another monster store will just
push them out of business faster. Thank you for considering our opinion in this matter.
And thank you for your service to our city!
Warm Regards,
Becky and Mike Duret
4318 Second St.,Pleasanton
"Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is most important that you do it."
