I am 15 on a scale of 1-10 opposed to the plan!
Please share my comments at the upcoming meeting on 2/20. I had palnned on being at the last meeting when it
was ubruptly canceeled at the last minute. Now with the recheduling I can not be present at the 5/15 meeting as I
will be out of town that evening. Therefore, I would like this counted for the record.
I am strongly opposed to putting the Home depo at the Stanley site. Since the major issue on every candidate for
mayor was the problem of traffic gridlock & cut through traffic I think it is horrific to place a large retailer in the
exact worst place for traffic. If the planning commission actually cares about cut through traffic, why would you
draw traffic to an area that is already one of the worst problem zones in Pleasanton? My neighborhood appealed
to you all regarding the need for relief due to increasing & unmanageable cut through traffic. The response we
got was that it was difficult problem & they were sorry for our troubles but they would not send relief that would
just cause cut through traffic in another neighborhood. I did not like it but I can understand it. If you can offer no
relief & want us to grin & bear it, why would you add to our problem with this current plan? I stand so strongly
opposed that I find it hard to understand the sense of the opposing side.
Thank you,
Heather E.
