Maria Hoey
Subject: FW Vote NO on Home Depot -- Oppose
,~, _
From: - _. .H :,,4,,
Sent: ' ednesday, May 09, 2007 8:34 PM
To: Mayor and City Council
Subject: Vote NO on Home Depot
Dear City Council,
I am writing to URGE you to vote NO on building an additional Home Depot. The bottom line is Pleasanton does
not need another Home Depot. I am very concerned about the increased truck traffic this new store will bring thru
residential neighborhoods. By voting yes you are jeopardizing our safety. Is that really worth $1 M in revenue? The
costs of enforcing and damage to our streets could exceed $1 M. We already have a major traffic issue at Valley
and Santa Rita as well as Valley and Stanley. You also need to consider impact the on the Mom and Pop
shops such as the Ace Hardware at Mission Plaza. What is going to happen to the other Home Depot when
people prefer to shop at the newer store? An additional Home Depot offers no benefit and should not be built.
Patty O'Leary
4117 Hazelhurst Ct.
~/10/?007
