18.16.120 <br />making recommendations concerning <br />said maps to the Council. (Prior Code <br />§ 1-3.18) <br />18.16.130 Termination Of Term Of <br />Office: <br />A. At the end of each six (6) month <br />period, the secretary of the Commission <br />shall report the attendance record of <br />each member of the Commission to the <br />City Manager, who shall transmit the <br />report to the City Council. <br />B. The City Manager shall notify in <br />writing any member who has been ab- <br />sent from one-third (1/3) of the regular <br />meetings during the course of a six (6) <br />month period of that fact and request <br />that the member submit to the City <br />Council in writing the reasons for the <br />absences. <br />494-1 <br />C. The City Council shall determine <br />if the member's reasons for the absenc- <br />es were justified. If the City Council <br />determines that the reasons for the <br />failure of the member to attend the <br />meetings in question were not justified, <br />the City Council shall terminate the <br />term of office of the member and de- <br />clare the office vacant. <br />D. If the City Council declares such <br />office vacant, the City Council shall <br />take appropriate steps to appoint a <br />qualified person to fill such vacancy for <br />the unexpired term and the City Clerk <br />shall notify the member that the mem- <br />ber's term has been officially terminat- <br />ed.
